We are planning a members’ only event in Luxembourg, which will be held on 23-24 October.

The event will be hosted by Anne Contreras of Arendt & Medernach.

We will have a members’ only event for expert and general members during the day on 24 October, from 9:00am – 5:30pm. Our aim is to invest in our members and in our collective relationships and knowledge.

We will have a dinner for expert members’ only on the evening of the 23 October, from 7-10pm.

MORNING WORKSHOPS AND CASES

9:10am Luxembourg as a Hub for Impact Investing and the new ‘SEIS’ form

–     Anne Contreras-Muller will be joined by Patrick Goodman from Innpact, to discuss the role Luxembourg plays in impact investing internationally.

10:25am The Benefit Corporation

–     Rick Alexander, Head of Legal Policy at B Lab, will talk about his new book and will explain how the concept of fiduciary is evolving and how the benefit corporation is spreading around the world.

10:45am Tea and coffee break

11:05am ‘Buying Social’ Within and Across the EU

–     David HunterJulie Wynne, and others will explore how Governments can do more to “buy social” from social enterprises

12:15pm Structuring Social Enterprises

–     Aurelien Hollard will chair a discussion involving Alissa PelatanIneke Koele and Michael Mosimann to discuss how to set up social enterprises and ‘hybrid’ legal forms

–      Julie WynneEmiliano Giovine, and Marc Elvinger will debate how Governments should seek to develop legal systems which support local social enterprise development

3.50pm The Spread of B Corps

    –   Niamh CallaghanDavid DaviesAnka HakertLuke FletcherRemedios Garcia Gomez de Zamora, and Marleen Denef will explore the growth and development of B Corps

In response to feedback, we plan to allow more time for audience participation, interaction, dialogue and networking.

This event will be smaller and more intimate than our annual conference – which will be in Milan in Spring 2018 – and will allow more time for contribution and exchange.
