Alissa Pelatan is a member of the California, District of Columbia and Paris Bar and has worked as a lawyer for international law firms and as in-house counsel for a public European company based in Paris, France. Mrs. Pelatan has also taught as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Paris V: Descartes in Paris where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on comparative business law, US common law and social business law / corporate social responsibility. She also teaches US law and UK law in two masters programs at one of the most prestigious law schools in Paris (University of Paris II – Assas-Pantheon).
Mrs. Pelatan has experience assisting sponsors, international organizations, investors, and commercial banks with international business law, corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, and white-collar criminal defense matters and major international energy and infrastructure projects in Africa. Mrs. Pelatan also regularly advises social entrepreneurs pursuing alternative corporate vehicles as well as social businesses on corporate governance as it relates to sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) issues.
