After its inaugural conference in 2015, the Impact Investing Legal Working Group, a group of lawyers, working in the field of impact investing, is again convening leading lawyers and professionals in impact financing to continue discussions on the topic “Legal issues in Impact Investing: US and Abroad”. The conference will be hosted by Reed Smith on the 19th and 20th of May in New York. It will consist of panels and discussions on the current issues of impact investing, and social enterprise law. ESELA will be represented by Roberto Randazzo of R&P Legal and Alissa Pelatan, ESELA’s Development Director. Roberto will speak about the new trends in social enterprise law in Europe with a particular focus on the new benefit corporation created in Italy last December. Other topics will include crowd funding as a mechanism to finance social enterprises, measuring impact, and aggregating capital for impact investing from the social enterprise’s point of view.
